Silicon Valley is arguably the world’s innovation hub, where some of the world’s best tech companies were established and still situated like Facebook, Google, Apple, LinkedIn, etc. Kenako Multimedia was privileged to be part of the En-novate / Investec delegation of South African Tech Entrepreneurs to tour this iconic region in San Francisco, USA. It was a week packed with learning about Silicon Valley’s venture capital system, visiting some start-ups that successfully scaled up and explored some of the legal issues.

Our Director Mr. Nkosenhle Hlophe was part of the delegation and produced this video. The video summarises the trip and some of the companies visited like Facebook, Google and the Silicon Valley Open Doors Conference attended where 3 members of the South African Delegation pitched. Mr Hlophe says one of his highlights for the trip was meeting South Africans who are now based in USA and have really made a success for themselves like Roloef Botha who invested in companies like Apple, WhatsApp, Yahoo, Google, EA Sports, etc. Vinny Lingham who is the Co-founder & CEO of Gyft and also a judge in a TV series Dragon’s Den.
